Bergen Gell Counselling is focused on providing high-quality service - I will do everything I can to meet you where you at and give you valuable tools.

Having two adult children, I am well aware of what they face in our society and what it's like to deal with that as a parent. And being married for a long period of time, I have an understanding of relationships and how they work, also what to try and implement to make it successful. In my life I have had exposure to family violence, abuse, alcoholism/addiction, family divorce, death and blended families, redundancies/job losses and fractured relationships due to abuse and addictions. So, from that stance I continue upskilling in my professional development to work effectively and holistically in those areas, so I ensure that I am educated and aware of the latest resources, theories, research to utilize in my sessions.

I draw from all that life experience and counsel out of who I am while coupling that with the training and skill set that I have.

For me I am passionate about about helping an facilitating people to get to where they are wanting to in their life. I have a faith that I believe adds to my profession, so if you choose to bring faith or spirituality into the session you are more than welcome, but it will not be pressed on you or discussed unless you decide to bring it in the room.

I have been involved in many Not For Profit Organisations doing paid and voluntary work. All that lead me to become a qualified Counsellor. My background is a Youthline Phone Counsellor, a Parenting Place Facilitator, DARE facilitator as well as a qualified Teacher Aide and I hold a Advanced Study Major in Grief and Loss, supervisor training. I have attended many many workshops some of those being: Family Violence, Mentoring for Teenagers, Sexual Abuse awareness, Complex Trauma and Grief, Discovering your True Self, Mental Health awareness, Suicide Prevention, Person Centered therapy, Motivational Interviewing theory, Neuroscience, Group facilitation, Cultural supervision  - just to name a few and continue annually doing Personal and Professional Development.

I belong to NZAC and I am a FULL member and adhere to their Code of ethics. I'm also a supervisor.

With a variety of resource's that I draw from, I'm sure you'll be happy working with me.

From practical help, to recommended books and websites to visit.

Look around my website and if you have any comments or questions, please feel free to contact me.

Have a brilliant day and take the step to freedom and healing...it's worth it!

My life experiences enable me to reach a wide range of people dealing with a variety of issues.

I offer counselling sessions 1hr face to face, or SKYPE, ZOOM, WHATSAPP and a small amount of text support (within working hours) once our sessions start and email support if required..

There is no time frame on how many sessions we do - that is something that we discuss on a regular basis so you can feel comfortable with the journey that you are taking with me. My session lengths are 60mins.

My services are affordable - as you will see. Contact me to discuss rate. WINZ options available.
